You can become a member of Open Spirit by attending Membership Class, this
class is offered periodically throughout the year.
Membership Entails:
Open Spirit offers you an opportunity for conscious commitment to
membership. If you attend Open Spirit, you belong here whether or not you
decide on formal membership. Membership provides the opportunity and I
emphasize opportunity, for a conscious commitment. Nothing opens a space
for a greater experience like a commitment.
I am always excited about membership. I love to offer membership because I
remember how significant it was to me. It was a year after I found my first New
Thought church that I decided to be a member. I had never intended to join a
church again, not formally anyway. After that first year, when the minister
announced membership, my heart sang. It was a little like an offer of marriage.
I loved my community and I was loved in return. My whole world had opened
up. I wanted to be a bigger part of this community. My commitment meant I
had to participate on a deeper level and give more of myself. This, of course,
expanded me in ways I would not have guessed. Indeed, committing to the
ministry was just another step in the process that was set in motion by that first
step.
Joining is a commitment to the activation of the purpose of Open Spirit in your
life. This is nothing less than the transformation and awakening of your life and
the life of the planet.
You are joyfully invited to attend membership class. Attending the class will
give you a chance to learn more about Open Spirit and what membership
means. You membership will be celebrated on a designated Sunday morning.
