Dear Friend:
Several individuals have come to me asking about ministry training programs.
After some research, I found that there was nothing available without a move out
of state or an on line program.
While on line classes can be effective in some things, I don’t believe that they
serve a ministry student well. Being a minister is much more than passing class
material, it is a transformational process. It is best done with other students and
under the mentorship of other ministers. Also the opportunity for hands on
experience is important.
New Thought teachings have impacted our world profoundly. However, New
Thought cannot go forward without new leaders for a new generation. Are you
one of those new leaders?
Robert Schuler once said, “Find a need and fill it.” The need in this case has
called forth its own fulfillment. With trust in Spirit for guidance and with many,
many prayers, we (the ministers at Open Spirit in conjunction with other local
ministers) are beginning a training and mentorship for ministers.
